Five hundred twenty-five thousand six hundred minutes.Five hundred twenty-five thousand moments so dear. How do you measure, measure a year?In daylights,In sunsets,In midnights,In cups of coffee,In inches, in miles, in laughter, in strife. In five hundred twenty-five thousand six hundred minutes. How do you measure a year in a life? How about love?Measure in love
One year since I started my account on Instagram.
And it seems a century. And it seems yesterday.
Many things in my life have changed.
And many are exactly the same.
This post was just supposed to celebrate how thankful I am to share that little corner of the internet.
To give back for all the love and support I receive every day.
For the witty comments, and the gracious messages.
For the photos loved, and the ones that were not, but people "liked" them anyway.
Today, however, another important event is happening.
Many Thrawn fans (the so-called "Chiss Twitter" or chisstwt, which spreads on multiple social media platforms) organized a campaign for asking @disney, @lucasfilm, and @dave.filoni to kindly include Mr. Zahn's input in dealing with the creation of a live-action Thrawn.
Mr. Filoni showed great respect for Lucas' characters in the past, as other authors had for his own creations.
He gave us the compassionate Kanan, the brilliant Sabine, the decisive Hera, the sweet Zeb, the wonderful Ezra.
He gave us the Bad Batch, Omega, and the Martez sisters (!).
So, don't get me wrong. I am not at war.
And Dave Filoni is my ally, hopefully, not my enemy.
But Mr. Zahn wrote Thrawn for 30 years.
He knows what Thrawn loves, how he thinks, the small things that make him smile.
He deserves to be included in constructing a character that is real in his head as in ours.
He deserves to be included because his endless love for Thrawn is there, spread between the lines of all the books he wrote.
He, therefore, very much deserves to be included in a creative process that might lead, ultimately, to Thrawn's death.
So, if you have 5 minutes of your time and you love Mr. Zahn's work, post today under the #NoThrawnWithoutZahn hashtag.
Thank you.
