Cowboy and Jedi

"Kanan" is a wonderful comic series.
Especially if, like me, Mr. Jarrus is your favorite Star Wars character after Luke Skywalker.

(To be honest, Kanan *IS* my favorite character, but Luke is like this old and comfy pair of shoes that you wear for 40 years, and you have a sentimental and irrational affection for. And, to be clear, Ahsoka is just immediately behind).

The series explores how the young padawan Caleb Dume became the space cowboy (then true quintessential Jedi) Kanan Jarrus.

A splendid (and my favorite) comic page, mirrors beautifully Kanan cutting his hair in Jedi Knight, as that was, in fact, the completion of his Jedi journey, interrupted here with the cut of his padawan braid, and the destruction or concealment of all Jedi symbols.

The relationship with Depa Billaba is also perfectly depicted (and she is awesome), and we can clearly see a parallel between Caleb/Depa and Anakin/Qui-Gon philosophies and connections.

I honestly adored also his smuggler mentor, Janus Kasmir, ultimately central in Kanan's personality formation as well will be, later, Okadiah Garson.

And, of course, the "shirtless panel" is a plus.
