Space Waffles

"After the war, Zeb took Kallus along the secret hyperspace path to the planet Lira San.
It was then that Kallus realized he hadn't destroyed the Lasat people, and that they were thriving on this new world.
A world where he was welcomed as one of them."
Nothing is more Star Wars than some warm, fluffy, delicious space waffles, served with muja sauce topping, as the Old Jho's Pit Stop used to make.

As much nothing is more Star Wars than an old enemy, forgiven and welcomed as a treasured member of the family.

The redemption trope. The quintessence of Star Wars.

And, in the case of our beloved Kallus and Zeb —honorable, strong, with hearts big than a Nebulon-B frigate— it hit us like a love storm.
They are, very simply put, utterly adorable.

So, while waiting for discovering the destiny of the purgilled unlikely couple with my heart on the line, I find myself imagining Kallus' and Zeb's everyday life on Lira San.

Arguing over Zeb messy way to squeeze the toothpaste, preparing together some shuura-flavored Fizzyglug —Alexsandr's favorite, a warm memory of his Coruscanti childhood—, read a captivating Clone Wars history essay on a datapad in front of the fireplace, while Zeb noisily snores.

Basically, a cereals-commercial-kind-of-family.

Sweet and fluffy.
Like a space waffle.

[In the photo: a lot of Belgian waffles, and two cute pins by @fantasypinstress, on a design by @junkofzeart. I planned this shot so many weeks ago, and I finally realized the idea. I thought, after eating ALL the waffles pictured here that I wouldn't want more for a pretty long time. But I am here, writing this, craving for a little more. As @trisha.clev reminded me, Leslie Knope was right after all.
"We need to remember what's important in life: friends, waffles, work. Or waffles, friends, work. Doesn't matter, but work is third."]
